Uh Oh, Baby C's Crawling

Caycen has been kinda scooting around a little for the last few weeks, but today when we got home I put him on the floor and he crawled right across the carpet to get to me.  I had to take a video of course!

Here's Baby C crawling across the floor.

Uh Oh... now we really need to get on the baby-proofing.  Anyone have a cheap tv stand they want to get rid of cause ours just isn't gonna work. The wires are hanging all out the back of the one we have and it's completely opened. We need a stand that we can put everything in so Baby C can't get to it.

Well... one more FIRST to add to the list this month!

Hope you're having a great start to your week!

Caycen Pulls Up

This week has been exciting with Baby C!
On Monday night I was at a friend's house planning a baby shower, while Caycen and Daddy were at home playing hard.  Caycen decided that he would pull up for the first time all the way to his feet while I wasn't there.  Chance was holding the firetruck Caycen got for Christmas, then Caycen pulled onto the back and pulled right on up.  I got a video of him doing it last night.

he's too funny!!!

Then this morning he decided that he would try to really crawl. He did a couple little scoots on all fours and then he was done.  That was the first time he hasn't just pushed himself on his stomach. I have a feeling he might be crawling around the house here pretty soon. He's just growing up way too fast and it makes me sad.

Well that's all the news for today! Have a wonderful Thursday!!!!

TG tomorrow's F!!!!!

A Week of Playdates!

This week has been SO much fun for Caycen! He got to have LOTS of playdates this week :)

It started on Monday, since we had a holiday, we went to the park to meet Melissa, Laura, Sara, and Cuyler.  Cuyler is only about a month and a half younger than Caycen, but they look the same age because Cuyler is SUPER tall! They have become good buddies at our small group.  They had so much fun swinging in the swing together.

Later that night we had dinner over at some great friends house, Blake and Julie. Their baby, Noah, is exactly 2 weeks older than Caycen.  But Noah looks like he's much older :) He's HUGE! He's got the longest legs ever.  They were hilarious because they wanted to get the toy the other one had the entire time. It was a lot of fun! Not to mention, Julie is a GREAT cook!!!!

Then Today, Saturday, we had a playdate with our NEWLY FORMED playgroup! A lot of the girls couldn't come today, but it's ok, I hope they are able to come next time. Julie and Noah (7 1/2 months) came, Amanda and Ella Kate (10 months) came, Stephanie and Dalton (2 years) came, and then me and Baby C (7 months).
It was really nice outside, which was great! 77 degrees on january 21st! Can you believe it?? SO NICE!
We put out blankets on the ground and sat the itty babies on it to play with a bunch of toys. Dalton got to run around, play on the playground, chase the geese, and just enjoy being a boy! They babies didn't really pay too much attention to each other, unless you count Caycen trying to eat Ella Kate's shoe or trying to pull on her shirt haha! But they did enjoy grabbing each other's toys and watching other big kids play on the playground. It was a nice relaxing time though for us.  We had a little picnic out there too. It was so much fun!!! I'm planning another little get-together for February, hopefully a Valentine's Day theme or something, so if anyone is reading this and wants to join us let me know!

It has been so much fun getting Caycen together with the other babes. I think this playgroup is going to be a wonderful thing for the babies and mommies!!!

Have a great WEEKEND!

Pizza and Meatball Rolls

Hey all! I hope you had a great weekend!

Well, I have decided to start trying to do one Pinterest recipe a week and then put them on my little blog and tell yu want I think.  Well this weeks recipe was not a Pinterest recipe, but I want to put it on here anyway.  I was thinking about how WONDERFUL the meatball sub is at Subway (even though I never get that when I go, I always get a turkey sub) and I wanted to try a little version of that.

Ingredients:
Pack of rolls
Pizza sauce
cooked meatballs (I bought frozen, but you can make yours)

mozzarella cheese
pepperoni

First you need to heat your meatballs and sauce by putting them in a pot.

Cut your rolls in half.

Put a layer of pepperoni on the bread (and eat some too!).
After meatballs and sauce are heated, spread on top of the pepperoni.
Put on TONS of mozarella cheese.

Put the top of the rolls back on.

Pop in the oven at 325 degrees for about 10 min or until the middle is hot.

Take out and enjoy! This is such a GREAT comfort meal that's quick and easy for those lazy days!

Hope you try it! Come back here and let me know what you think after you have :) I'm not a GREAT cook, but I can do EASY!!!

Have a great MLK DAY!

Letter to 7 Month Old Baby C

HAPPY 7 MONTHS BABY C!!!!

Dear Baby C,
I know I say this EVERY.SINGLE.MONTH. but WOW, you are just growing soooo sooo fast and the time is going by waaaaay to quick! You are just a little bundle of joy! It seems like every day you do something new.  You are the most smiley baby I've ever seen.

This last month you have had some more firsts:

You had your first Christmas! You got lots of toys and clothes.  You even helped tear some paper off the presents.

You had your first New Year's. You were asleep through it, but that's a good thing! Happy 2012 Baby C! I know this year is going to be a great year!

First time going to the park. You got to swing in the swing and you had so much fun! I am looking forward to taking you a lot more often now.

First word!! You said "Da Da" of course, but you also said "Ma Ma" right after! You say "Da Da" a lot now, but you've only said "Ma Ma" that one time. At the beginning of this video you say "Da Da" and I do keep trying to get you to say it again, but you don't pay me any attention :)

You've started getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth.  You are trying to crawl so hard, but you just seem to scoot yourself a little or roll from place to place.  We can't leave you on the bed by yourself anymore because you are rolling everywhere and throwing yourself forward, so we are scared you might fall off of the bed.

You've gone to eating baby food twice a day! Once in the morning and once at dinner time.

You sat in a grocery cart for the first time when we went to Walmart.  You loved it! You would just look around at everything we rode by.

Things you're loving:
Feeding your bottle to yourself, playing with your doggy pal, your gloworm you got for Christmas, playing on the carpet, Mommy and Daddy, cuddling, LONG naps, FOOD FOOD FOOD, giggling, being tossed around, and trying to crawl.

This past month has been so much fun and I know that this next month will be just as much fun.  I absolutely LOVE ever minute that I get to spend with you.

HAPPY 7 MONTHS!!!!

Love,
Mommy xoxo

Playdate at the Park and New Years

On New Year's Eve, my friend Amanda and I decided to take our itties to the park to have a little play date.
It was Baby C's first time to the park. The weather was perfect!
We went on a little stroll around the trail they have there, then we played on the swing, and then we couldn't resist sitting them in the grass to take some pictures. It was so much fun! I want to take him a lot more now :)

Amanda and Ella Kate getting ready for our stroll

It looks like they're holding hands here!!

First time on the swing!

That night my mom came into town to celebrate New Year's with us.  We went over to Lee and Melissa's house, and for the 2nd year in a row just did something really low key.  We had a low country boil and some appetizers.  It was a lot of fun because we still got to bring Caycen with us.  We just weren't ready to let him stay the night anywhere and wanted to ring in his first new year with him, even though he was asleep at about 10:00 (which is really late for him).

Overall, we had a wonderful New Year's and are SUPER blessed to have such great family and friends to spend it with!

New Year's Resolutions:
1. Do my QUIET time every single day!
2. Lose about 10 more pounds
3. Work hard and sell more units on Teachers Pay Teachers (TEACHERS this is such an awesome way to make a little extra money!!!)
4. Be financially SMART
5. Spend as much time as possible with my family

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

GOD BLESS,
AIMES
