Easter 2014

This past Easter was so much fun! We started out the festivities by going to see the Easter Bunny a few days before Easter weekend. The kids did so good! Caycen was excited about seeing the Easter Bunny this year, but he did get a little shy when it was time for his picture. They were so cute though!

The week before Easter, Caycen's class had a little Easter Party and did an Egg hunt. They were so cute!

For Easter weekend, we went to Warner Robins to visit my family. On that Saturday before Easter Sunday, we did brunch with my Dad's side of the family. Caycen was so excited to see his Pop and Nanny Cheryl.

Then that night we decided to do a glow in the dark egg hunt for the kids. We took glow bracelets and put them inside of plastic easter eggs and waited til it got dark outside, then hid/threw the eggs into the yard. They were all over the place. The kids had so much fun hunting the eggs that they decided they would give them all back to us so that they could hunt them again. We hunted the eggs at least 4 times that night. It was so much fun! Plus, the kids didn't argue about candy or anything :)

Sunday morning Caycen and Gracie June got to open their Easter baskets from the Easter Bunny with Hailey and Capri.

Sunday afternoon we went to my Aunt Lynn's house for Easter celebration with my mom's side of the family. We ate lunch and hid eggs for all the cousins. They had a blast!!! This is one time of year where all the cousins actually get together. It's so neat to see all of them together like my cousins and I were every Easter when we were little.

All the cousins!

Easter was so much fun! I'm so glad that we can celebrate such a wonderful holiday and the fact that it means so much to our family!

Letter to 10 Month Old GJ

Dear 10 Month Old Gracie June,
Ahh, I can't believe I'm actually saying 10 months! That's just so crazy! It doesn't seem like it's been that long since you came into this world and made our little family complete. My love for you grows strong and stronger each day. You are doing new things every day and have such a big personality! I just love watching you.

This month's firsts:
You started crawling really good a few days after turning 9 months! You are into EVERYTHING! We had to put the baby gate on the stairs again because you're trying to climb them. You just took off!

You started taking a 6 oz bottle this month.

You had your first trip to the pool.

You started eating real solids this month like cut up fruit, yogurt melts, cooked veggies, etc. We were a little worried for a while because you would gag on everything and throw up. But you have grown to love solid food! You will eat anything we put in front of you!

You started pulling up in your crib this month.

Things you're loving:
Your brother, your passy, sleeping, FOOD, watching baby tv, listening to daddy strum the guitar, playing with Caycen's toys (especially his cars), watching the dogs play, sitting outside, pulling up on things, books, tackling Caycen, snuggling with Mommy, screaming really loud, laughing, and just being a little goof ball.

Your schedule looks like this:
between 6:30-7:30 (depends on if it's a weekend or school day) - You wake up and have a 6 oz bottle of formula
8:30 - you eat a container of fruit with rice cereal
10:30 - 6 oz of formula
sometimes you take a cat nap here (usually no more than an hour)
12:00-12:30 - a container of fruit and some cut up pieces of fruit with a sippy cup of water
2:30 - 6 oz of formula
nap for 2 hours or so
between 5:00 & 6:00 - Dinner, usually stage 3 baby food with veggies or fruit and sippy cup of water
7:30 or 8:00 - bath, books, then 6 oz bottle before bed

You are the most laid back baby ever! You hardly ever fuss, and if you do then we know you're either hungry or tired. I love how you laugh and smile all the time. You are one sweet baby!!!

I love you more than you will ever know!

Happy 10 Months baby girl!

Love,
Mommy
xoxo
