What I'm Loving Wednesday

Ok, so I decided that I would post for What I'm Loving Wednesday this week! :)  It's been a while... working and playing with my baby when I'm not working has kept me VERY busy!!!

1.  I'm LOVING that I have decided not to teach next year and that I will be staying at home with Caycen.  Unless something crazy happens, that is the plan.  I'm super excited!!! I know that teaching is what I was called to do and I love it so much... but I LOVE staying with my baby much much more than that!!!! I want to be the one that raises my kids and is there with them to see everything.  I feel like I have missed so much already being back at work.  Say a little prayer that everything goes great this year and we are able to keep this plan.

2.  I'm LOVING that Chance and I have read Dave Ramsey's "Total Money Makeover" and we are budgeting and doing all that we can to follow the plan from the book.  The whole purpose of the book is to get your debts paid off, your emergency savings built up, and then to invest your money.  I know that the plan makes so much sense! If you haven't read it, I HIGHLY recommend it! I know several people who have done the "Total Money Makeover" and can't say a bad thing about it.  As Dave Ramsey says "live like no one else now so you can live like no one else later".  So friends... sorry if we can't go out to eat for a while... we are making over our money!!! :)

3.  I'm LOVING that this weekend will be Baby C's first trip to the Ridge :)  That's Chance's dad's hunting club.  Chance is going hunting and we've decided to join them at the Ridge for Friday night and Saturday morning.  Can't wait!!! Baby C has his camo ready :)

4.  I'm LOVING that Desperate Housewives starts up again soon!!!! BUT sad it's the last season...

5.  I'm LOVING my sweet little Baby C and all the little faces and noises he's making!!!

6.  I'm LOVING my hubby as always :)

Letter to 3 Month Old Baby C

3 MONTHS ALREADY!?!?!

Dear Baby C,
I can't believe how FAST time has flown by and how BIG you are getting!!!! It seems like just yesterday when I brought you home from the hospital... but it seems like forever since I've been back to work and not able to stay at home with you every single day.  I really miss that time that we got to have together.  I am definitely cherishing every single moment that we get to spend together now.  I love watching your sweet little face when you sleep, when you get that HUGE grin, and even when you do your poor pouty face where you poke that itty lip out. 

We just love playing around with you at bath time!!!

You are sleeping so great now!!! At the beginning of this month you were still taking your dreamfeed at 10:00, but now we've taken that one out and you've started eating 6 times a day.  You are sleeping completely through the night until about 6:00 in the morning.  We used to put you down at 8:00, but now we are putting you down at 9:00 because you're eating less times during the day.  The last few nights we have been trying to get you to sleep without being swaddled.  You have done better and better every night.  You do wake up a lot more when you're not swaddled, but you are getting used to it pretty fast.

Most mornings I get up and feed you, unless Daddy doesn't have to be at work early.  I love it because you don't usually wake up crying.  Most of the time you wake up and play in your crib and laugh at your mobile until I come in with a bottle.  I love watching your sweet little face while you eat.  That is when you are the most content.  Boy you LOVE to eat!!!!

You are growing so so fast!!! Ms. Stephanie put you in the bouncer the other day for the first time and you LOVED it! You bounced around like crazy.  That's another thing, you really like to move! You always kick in the tub, kick while you're sitting in our laps, and even when you're in your high chair.

The other day you had your first play date where you were actually awake and aware of what was going on around you.  You went to see baby Noah.  You laughed, smiled, and stared at him all night.  We put you guys down on the floor facing each other and you were even trying to get to him.  You were kicking your little legs SO hard, I really thought you might end up scooting yourself across the floor!

You are also LOVING your Bumbo seat that we got you last weekend.  You sit up in just like a big boy... which you are becomming WAY. TOO. FAST!!!!

You are still LOVING... naps with Mommy, hanging out in the recliner with Daddy, tummy time, your wubanub, baths, sleeping in the car (though you don't sleep as much now), playing while we change your diaper, Baby t.v., eating, listening and watching Daddy play the guitar, playing with Mommy and Daddy, and your froggy that hangs on your car seat!

Well, Caycen, you have truly been a blessing in our lives and we love you more and more every day! I couldn't imagine life without you.  I thank God for sending me my sweet little angel.

Proposal Story

I'm linking up with Emily at Baby Berry for a proposal story

Here is our story:

It was a hot day in July of 2007 and we actually spent ALL day out at the beach and on the boat.  While we were out there were porpoises coming right up to our boat and it was so cool!

We even had Sugar on the boat with us :)

After a long day we had planned to go to dinner for Chance's parents' anniversary, or at least that's what they told us it was for.  We got all dressed and ready to go and a limo came to pick us up at the house.  Chance was bringing his guitar and said it was because he "wrote a song for his parents" that he wanted to sing for them.  So, I thought nothing of it.

We got in the limo and headed to Alligator Soul in downtown Savannah.  The dinner was wonderful!!! They had the BEST strawberry daiquiri ever too!!!



After dinner, Chance pulls out his guitar and says "I'm going to sing a song that I wrote for my parents and then I'm going to sing a song that I wrote for you, Amy".  I was very confused... Then Chance started singing...

as he was singing, I'm sitting here thinking "aww, that's such a sweet song for them (his parents)".  Then all of a sudden he says my name in the song and I got REALLY confused for a second... I was thinking "why would he put my name in a song he wrote for his parents"... but then I realized he was actually singing to me. 

Then it happened... the end of the song said "Amy will you marry me?"... AHHHH!!!! I was SOOOO excited, but so shocked!!! I immediately started crying when he put the guitar down and started to get on his knees, I threw my hands up and covered my face, while Chance dropped the ring box under the table!!! haha! I didn't see that part though because I was too busy crying in my hands.  When I opened my eyes, he had the ring right in front of me.  Of course I screamed "yes!!!" and put the ring on :)

As you can see, Chance's mom and sister were just as shocked as I was!!! They had no idea either!

And here we are with one of the managers of the restaurant who really hooked us up that night.  He even turned the music off in the restaurant so that Chance could sing his song.

After leaving dinner, we stopped by the house of some friends of the family to share the news.  I remember texting like everyone in my phone!!! The next day I drove back to Warner Robins and ended up losing my voice from telling the story SOOO many times! :)

It was definitely a night I will never forget!!!!!!  I love my husband so so so so much!!!! God definitely blessed me when he sent me Chance.

Baby C's 2 month Stats

Well guys... I have realized that being back at work and then coming home to be a mommy is exhausting and definitely making it a lot harder for me to blog!!!! :(  I just have no extra time during the day.  This is what my day looks like during the week:

6:00 - wake up and feed Caycen
6:20 - get ready for work while Caycen sits in the "Mamaroo"
6:45 - pack my lunch and eat a quick breakfast after putting Caycen in his car seat
7:00 - Load up the car and head to work
7:15 - arrive at work to meet Stephanie, the babysitter
7:20 - Clock in at work and try to get some things done in the classroom
8:15 - kids start entering my classroom and it's work work work all day long
4:15 - meet Stephanie in the parking lot to get Caycen and head home
4:30 - get home and either play with Caycen or if he's sleeping start washing bottles and picking up around the house
6:00 - feed Caycen or cook dinner (depends on what we're eating and what Chance feels like doing)
between 6:30 and 7:00 - eat dinner while Caycen sits in the high chair and "talks" to us :)
7:00 - hang out and play with Caycen and Daddy
8:00 - feed Caycen, read a story, pray, and put Caycen to bed
8:30 - take a shower and get clothes ready for the next day
9:00 - watch a little t.v. if I'm not passed out already! haha
between 9:30 - 10:00 go to sleep (Chance feeds Caycen at 10:00, what a GREAT hubby!!!!)

so there's my day in a nutshell!  I know I need to be figuring out where there is time to sneak in a workout too!!! Gosh I really wanna be a stay-at-home-mom!!!!!! So sorry that I'm not blogging as often as I was!!! Hopefully things will slow down some and I can get a little more blogging in at night when I'm not so tired!!!

Alright and on with what the post was supposed to be about...

Yesterday was Caycen's 2 month check-up and unfortunately I couldn't go because it was the first week of school... so Chance took him.  He got all of his shots and everything.  Chance says that I better feel lucky because I didn't have to see Caycen cry.  He said "I've never seen a baby cry like that before!".  Poor thing!!! But he was such a trooper!!! After the shots and getting him back in his carrier, he stopped crying and fell asleep. He didn't really act like his legs were hurting him too much last night either, but we gave him some baby Tylenol before putting him to bed just in case.

Well here are his 2 month stats:

Weight - 13 lbs3 oz, that's in the 68%
Length - 24 inches, that's in the 70%
Head Circumference - 39 cm, that's in the 31%

What a big baby :) (I guess his head needs to do a little growing to catch up with his body!!! haha)

Well, I definitely won't be missing ANY more doctor's appointments because I just couldn't stand not being there with him.  I just love that baby so so much!!!

Caycen has been doing such a great job!!! Friday and Saturday night he slept from 10:00 pm - 5:00 pm without a peep... then Monday night he slept from 10:00 pm - 6:00 pm without waking up once!!! I'm so proud of him!!! He's been doing it all week long :)  Caycen's doctor said "Don't tell anybody else that he's sleeping that long!" haha!!! We just have a WONDERFUL baby!!!
