I posted this exact same post on my teaching blog... but I wanted to post it here also, because I am so thankful for all of the blessings in my life!!!
I am thankful for my room moms! They are both soooo wonderful! They come and help me with my copies, cut out TONS of mess for me, file, stuff folders, and even help me with my crafts. I don't know what I would do without them this year!
2. What person are you most thankful for?
I'm most thankful for BOTH my husband and Caycen AKA Baby C, who is 5 months old. My husband is the sweetest man I've ever met and my baby is the best baby ever!
3. What 3 blogs are you most thankful for?
These two girls always have such wonderful ideas to share!
Cara at the first grade parade always has tons of great units and craft ideas! I steal from her ALL.THE.TIME!!!!
Abby, at the Inspired Apple, has the CUTEST ideas! I love her moon unit also!!!
4. What guilty pleasure are you most thankful for?
Chick-fil-a!!!! I know this is bad, but some days I feel like my whole day will be great if I just stop by Chick-fil-a before work and grab a chicken biscuit and Dr. Pepper! YUM!!!
5. What are you most thankful for?
I am most thankful that I have such a wonderful God who has blessed me waaaaaay more than I deserve! HE has given me a wonderful husband, a precious and healthy baby, parents who love me and raised me to be the woman I've become, in-laws who have accepted me into their family and who love my baby so much, a grandmother who let me live with her and helped raise me so that I could go to a good school, a sister who has always been there for me, colleagues who let me cry on their shoulder and help me through the hardest of days, a best friend who would do anything for me and my baby, a small group who I can count on for all of my prayer requests, and forgiveness of my sins so that I can live with HIM in heaven one day.
Thank you to everyone who has read my blog, visited my Tpt store, and just supported me! It really means so much!
Time for you to go link up with What the Teacher Wants! :)
I know I say this every month, but I just can’t believe how fast time flies! You are HUGE now!!! At your 4 month visit, which was really about 4 ½ months, you were already 16 lbs and 11 oz… You have to be at least 17 lbs by now!!! I am definitely getting muscles in my arms from playing with you and lifting you all the time.
This month you’ve had some more firsts:
You had your first stage 1 solids. You really didn’t like the rice cereal that we gave you and you kept spitting it out.Next we tried giving you green beans and you liked them a little better but you weren’t CRAZY about them… so then we tried sweet potatoes and you TORE them up!!! The last few days you’ve been eating bananas and you love them too!
Last Friday you got your first cold L.Luckily you haven’t had to go to the doctor yet, but they did prescribe you some drops to go in your nose. You were coughing and sneezing most of the weekend and I really hope it doesn’t get worse. You have been sleeping so much.Even though you really don’t feel good, you are still the SWEETEST baby ever!!! You are giggling, playing in your bouncer, and cuddling every chance you get.
Your first Halloween! You were the cutest lion EVER!!! We walked around the trunk or treat at Marshpoint the weekend before Halloween, then you fell asleep the night of Halloween while all the trick-or-treaters were coming around.I can’t wait until next Halloween because you will actually be able to go trick-or-treating yourself J.
You got to celebrate your daddy’s birthday for the first time and help open up the presents. You were so stinkin’ cute pulling that tissue paper out of the bag for Daddy! And it was your daddy’s first birthday as a daddy!
You got to go to stay over at Aunt Liss and Uncle Lee’s house for the first time by yourself for a few hours while Mommy and Daddy went to a baby shower. They absolutely LOVED playing with you!!! Don’t tell them I told you this, but they even argued about who got to feed you first! Haha!
You started wearing 6 months clothes this month!!! You are super long and such a MONSTER! You are still wearing some of your 3-6 month clothes, but most of them I already had to box up L.
You can hold your bottle by yourself fo

Well, I have been SUPER busy lately and haven't had a SECOND to blog!!! It's killing me! So this post is actually a two for one :)
Halloween:
Well you guys already saw that Caycen was a cute little lion the weekend of Halloween and we went to the trunk or treat at Marshpoint. It was so much fun (see previous post). Here are some more pictures that I took of him in his cute little costume and in his skeleton jammies he got just for Halloween:
Halloween night we decided to just stay at home and hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters. I had Baby C practice picking up candy from the bowl and everything! But by the time the trick-or-treating started, Caycen was EXHAUSTED. He passed out and slept through the entire trick-or-treating period.
Chance is so funny on Halloween! He set up the front and it was SUPER scary for all the kids. Most of the trick-or-treaters were too scared to even come up and ring the doorbell so a lot of their parents did it for them. Chance had a skeleton sitting at the door, a strobe light going, a zombie that crawls, a ghost that moves, a bloody head hanging, and even some scary halloween music playing. Chance dressed up as a crazy doctor. I would be scared too!!!! It was pretty hilarious though.
After the trick-or-treating was over, Baby C woke up and was so happy to see his Aunt Brooke there... he didn't even know he'd missed anything.
Well, that was Caycen's first Halloween and he slept right through it :)
Chance's 27th Birthday:
So this year Chance turned 27 years old!!! I'm so sad that I didn't actually get to post on his birthday like I wanted to... I feel like such a horrible wife :( That week was sooooooo busy though. I mean, I didn't even have his birthday presents ready for him on his actualy birthday because we were so busy!
On the night before his birthday we went to his parents house for a birthday dinner for him and Brooke's boyfriend, Chris. We had a delicious dinner and then they got to open presents. Caycen helped his daddy too! Then we celebrated with a little cake.
For Chance's birthday I decided that since we're trying to save some money, I would make his gifts for him. Chance said he really didn't want anything, but how could I do that??? So I found a couple of cute ideas from Pinterest!
The first thing I made was a box of dates. I thought this was SO STINKIN' CUTE! I printed out a ton of date ideas and put them in the jar, then used my cricut to put "Dates in a Box" on the front. We talked about how we wanted to start doing a date night every other week, so I thought this was perfect for our date nights. Now all we have to do is go to the jar and pull out a date idea and we don't even have to think about what to do. I'm so excited to start this!!!
The second thing I made him were some grill towels. You know how the guys like to use the kitchen towels?? Or my husband likes to use these ugly blue towels that he gets from work and just stick them in his back pocket while grilling... well, problem solved! I went and bought a couple packs of plain white hand towels to use for grill towels. I made some pictures on powerpoint and even used some UGA clipart that I found and printed them on printable iron-on transfers. Then I ironed them onto the towels and sewed them on around the edges just to be sure that they wouldn't come off in the wash (because you know these towels will be getting dirty!!!). This was such an easy project and Chance really loved them!!!
Here is Chance opening his gifts :)

And then Baby C wakes up...
he sure loves his daddy!!!
I am so thankful to have such a wonderful husband in my life. God has truly blessed me and my family! I love you Rooskie!!!!
I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL weekend!!!! I am definitely enjoying my day off with Baby C today!
