7 Month Letter to GJ

Dear Gracie June,
You are 7 months old now and growing so so fast!

This month you have had some more firsts:

You started sitting up all by yourself really well this month. Sometimes you still fall over but you are doing really good with it. 

You had your first Valentine's Day this month. You got a little basket with a book, a bath book, a ladybug washing pal, and a couple of ladybug containers for snacks or baby food. I think your favorite thing was the spoon that came with the containers! haha!

You started eating baby food twice a day. You eat fruits in the morning and veggies and meats in the evening. You are still taking 5 ounces for each bottle, but you take 3 ounces when you eat baby food. And you LOVE that bottle!!!

We went to the park for the first time and you loved it. Caycen and Daddy played while we watched.

Things you're loving:

You are still loving that BOTTLE! You love rocking, playing with your toys on the carpet, watching Caycen do just about anything, baby t.v., listening to Daddy play guitar, taking a bath (but you hate it when you get out!), snuggling, playing in your crib, and smiling whenever anyone talks to you.  You love to watch Sugar and Cooper and try to grab their hair.

You are just the happiest baby! Whenever me or Daddy come to pick you up from daycare, as soon as you see us you get the BIGGEST smile! It melts my heart every.single.time! I just can't get enough of your sweet smile. 

You rarely ever cry… the exception is when you get out of the tub and the towel comes off :) 

Your little personality comes out more and more each day. I can't wait to see what all you will do this month!

GJ's 6 Month Check-Up

Weight - 16 lbs 2 oz (42%) YEP she's catching up fast!
Length - 25 1/4 inches (15%) SHORTY! haha
Head Circumference - 42 1/2 inches (48%)

Letter to 6 Month Old GJ

Dear Sweet Gracie June,

You are 6 MONTHS OLD!!! Wow! A half a year has gone by already and you have been one of the biggest blessings in my life! Your little smile just lights up a room and completely melts my hearts. Any time that I'm around you, I can't help but smile too.

This past month we had some more firsts:

You started sitting up by yourself this month, but we definitely put a pillow behind you because you still fall over a lot.

You had your first Christmas! And you were the cutest little thing ever! (She just loves to stick that tongue out!!! haha!

You had to be admitted to the hospital about a week and a half before turning 6 months because of UTI. We stayed at the hospital two nights. But you sure were a TROOPER! Even when you were sick and running a fever, you would still smile at Mommy and Daddy.

After being in the hospital, and you having to sleep flat on your back in the crib there, we decided to let you start sleeping flat in your crib. You have done great! You definitely wake up earlier than you did when you slept in the rock n play, but that's ok.

Two days before you turned 6 months, you had your first ear infection (which you had an ear infection in BOTH ears!). You and your brother both had your first ear infections right before turning 6 months, crazy!

You sat in a grocery cart without the carrier for the first time. You were so cute, just looking around at everything.

Things you're loving this month:
Baby food, your bottle, Daddy playing the guitar and singing to you, your jumpy (you have gotten pretty good at jumping in that thing), playing with your toys, watching Caycen play, when Mommy or Daddy have you chase after Caycen (this just CRACKS you up!!!), snuggling, music, playing in your crib.

  

This past month has been a fun one! I can't wait to see what you start doing next!
