A Few Play Dates

So, I’m just now getting to this post, even though these play dates were about a month ago! GEEZ have I been busy!!!

Well, Caycen had a play date with Ella Kate for a few hours while her mommy went to get her hair done. It was sooo cute! Ella Kate just walked around looking at all of Caycen’s toys. And of course, anything that Ella Kate wanted to play with Caycen wanted to take from her. He was being such a bully! {but you know how the young ones are, they pick on the girls they like ;) } Well it was hilarious, because after about an hour of Caycen taking the toys that Ella Kate wanted to play with, Ella Kate found Caycen’s passy, and it was payback time! She kept holding the passy up to Caycen’s face, he would open his mouth, then she would pull it back from him. HILARIOUS!!! Caycen didn’t know what to think! He finally started to pout, after about 7 or 8 times of opening his mouth expecting the passy, and she then she gave it to him. They had a lot of fun though.

Ella Kate rode on Caycen’s fire truck and Caycen was so nice he even tried to show her how to do it.

 

A few days later we had another play date with all of our friends and had a picnic at Forsyth Park. It was such a beautiful day! We pulled out blankets under a nice big tree, had food, toys, and just enjoyed the nice weather. Caycen, of course, had to go to everyone begging for food :) . What can I say? The boy LOVES to eat!!!

After our little picnic, they all took turns riding in Ella Kate’s big red wagon. They had a blast and so did us mommies!

Man we have such great friends! I’m so glad that Caycen will get to grow up with all these wonderful babies and that I have become so close to all their mommies too!

Can’t wait for the next play date!

Valentine's Day Playdate

This Week we had our Valentine's Day Playdate and it was SO much FUN!!!

There were 2 new mommies there with their babies this week, and still some that couldn't make it.  I really hope there is a day when all of us can be ther at once because it would be so nice to have all the babies together.

But this weekend was GREAT! They all played so hard :)

First Allison and Sawyer showed up. 

Sawyer was so stinkin' cute! And it's funny because he's about 6 months older than Caycen and wears the same size clothes! haha!  Sawyer was so cute, just running around and playing with everything.

Next, Stephanie and Dalton got here.  Dalton was so excited! He ran around playing with anything that caught his eye.  Yes, even the camera lens :) haha.  He is one easy child to entertain.

Lastly, Sara and Cuyler arrived.  Cuyler is about a month and a half younger than Caycen, but he also wears the same size as Caycen.  He was so sweet.  He isn't crawling yet so he was just sitting and playing on the carpet.  You could tell that he REALLY wanted to get moving though. We thought he was gonna try to leap forward like Caycen at one point.

We had tons of goodies! Sara brough brownies and cookies, Allison brought more cookies, then I had tons of candy, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, and more.  I also made some super cute (if I do say so myself)  tie onesies and shirts for the boys.  We put Caycen, Cuyler, and Sawyer in them to model for you all :)  Dalton was just too busy to change clothes (LOVE HIM!).  Then I got the girls some little heart shaped cookie cutters for bringing their little guys over to entertain Caycen.

The boys played. and played. and played. and played...

After lots and lots of playing around, we decided to do a little craft witht he boys.  We made these super cute heart shaped footprints.  Of course we did feet because they are so much easier than hands.

What a great playdate... I had so much fun and so did Baby C!

I really love this group!

I just can't wait to have ALL of the kids together at once.  St. Patrick's Day is coming up soon, so maybe we will do something for that... PARADE ANYONE???

Anyone in the area that wants to join our playgroup is more than welcome! There are about 6 ot 7 mommies so far.

A Week of Playdates!

This week has been SO much fun for Caycen! He got to have LOTS of playdates this week :)

It started on Monday, since we had a holiday, we went to the park to meet Melissa, Laura, Sara, and Cuyler.  Cuyler is only about a month and a half younger than Caycen, but they look the same age because Cuyler is SUPER tall! They have become good buddies at our small group.  They had so much fun swinging in the swing together.



Later that night we had dinner over at some great friends house, Blake and Julie. Their baby, Noah, is exactly 2 weeks older than Caycen.  But Noah looks like he's much older :) He's HUGE! He's got the longest legs ever.  They were hilarious because they wanted to get the toy the other one had the entire time. It was a lot of fun! Not to mention, Julie is a GREAT cook!!!!

Then Today, Saturday, we had a playdate with our NEWLY FORMED playgroup! A lot of the girls couldn't come today, but it's ok, I hope they are able to come next time. Julie and Noah (7 1/2 months) came, Amanda and Ella Kate (10 months) came, Stephanie and Dalton (2 years) came, and then me and Baby C (7 months).

It was really nice outside, which was great! 77 degrees on january 21st! Can you believe it?? SO NICE!

We put out blankets on the ground and sat the itty babies on it to play with a bunch of toys. Dalton got to run around, play on the playground, chase the geese, and just enjoy being a boy! They babies didn't really pay too much attention to each other, unless you count Caycen trying to eat Ella Kate's shoe or trying to pull on her shirt haha! But they did enjoy grabbing each other's toys and watching other big kids play on the playground. It was a nice relaxing time though for us.  We had a little picnic out there too. It was so much fun!!! I'm planning another little get-together for February, hopefully a Valentine's Day theme or something, so if anyone is reading this and wants to join us let me know!

It has been so much fun getting Caycen together with the other babes. I think this playgroup is going to be a wonderful thing for the babies and mommies!!!
