Letter to 30 Month Old (2 1/2 years) Caycen

Dear Caycen,
I can't believe that you are 2 1/2 years old already! You are have grown up so so fast. I was looking at all of my letters to you the other day, and it seems like just yesterday that we brought you home. You are so stinkin smart for your age! Every time we go to the doctor for a checkup, Dr. Hobby tells me how advanced you are.

You know more than the average 4 year old (from what he says). You know all of your colors, shapes, numbers 0-9, ABCs upper and lower case, your address, your full name, you can count to 13 (you try counting past that but the next few numbers just sound like 13 over and over haha), you are talking in full out sentences, you put your shoes on all by yourself, and tons more.

We just can't get over how well you talk. Your favorite phrases are "Daddy what're you doin?", "Why didu do dat?", "oh, I sorry mommy", and "Mommy, I gotta go potty".

You are fully potty trained, which was a pain to do at first, but it was so worth it. You love your big boy underwear.

You are at school at Savannah Christian Daycare, and are in Ms. Brandy's class, but you're moving into Ms. Alicia's class in January.

You are starting to show a lot more interest in your baby sister, Gracie June. You go up and talk to her now, help feed her a bottle, put her passy in her mouth, and even give her kisses on occasion.

You are very into the movies Cars and Toy Story recently, you love Max and Ruby, still love Caillou, you love watching Sponge Bob, and Dora the Explorer.

You love playing soccer, football, playing swords with daddy using tubes for the swimming pool, cuddling, watching movies and eating popcorn, drawing, painting, tackling, riding the golf cart with Nona or Aunt Sissy, riding the tractor with Papa Ray, playing the guitar with Daddy, reading books, playing on the iPad, and being goofy.

Your favorite candy right now is probably anything chocolate and you love skittles.

Your best friend is definitely Ella Kate! You guys are two peas in a pod! Y'all see each other and just start cracking up. It's so so funny!

You were in Aunt Sissy and Uncle Chris's wedding in October and were so cute:

You have been such an awesome little boy and I am so proud to be your mommy. We pray for you every single day and hope that you will grow up to be a man of God and know how much we all love you. Thank you for being such a blessing to me and your Daddy!!!

Love you Big Boy C!

Mommy

Letter to 5 Month Old GJ

Dear 5 Month Old Gracie June,
Here we are again, another month down. I am just amazed at how fast you are growing. You are just the sweetest little girl ever!

This month's firsts:

You met your Pop and Nanny Cheryl for the first time. They were so in love.
sorry for the quality of these two pictures they were on the phone and I couldn't edit them

You had your first visit with Santa Claus:

You started consistently rolling over from your tummy to your back this month.

You tried rice cereal from a bowl and sweet potatoes. You love the sweet potatoes!

You had your first Thanksgiving.

Things you're loving:
Kisses, snuggling, when ANYONE talks to you, watching Cooper, sitting in the high chair, your bottle, bath time, sleeping in the rock and play, watching Caycen play, sitting up on the floor with Mommy or Daddy, reaching for toys, putting toys in your mouth, and just being silly.

Caycen is starting to interact with you more now too. He loves to go up to you when you're in your crib or when you're in the high chair and say "hey Gracie June" and then he'll say "Gracie June's smiling Mommy". It's so cute because you just love it when he talks to you. We all are so so blessed to have such a sweet baby like you in our lives. You make us smile no matter what is going on. I love you little angel!

Love,
Mommy

Thanksgiving 2013

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year. We started out by going to my Dad's house the night before thanksgiving so that he could meet Gracie June for the first time. She loved him and Cheryl!

The next day we went to my Granny's house for Thanksgiving on my mom's side of the family. We ate and played and had tons of fun! Caycen had a blast playing with all of his cousins.

the boys

the girls (minus Gracie June)
First cousins

We left there and headed to my Nana's house. On the way there, Caycen fell asleep in the car. He was exhausted!!! It was about 5:00 and he slept til we woke him up at 7:00. We ate some more food at my Nana's house and hung out with family. Then we went back to the hotel for the night.

It was a short but fun trip!!!
